1. Basic Information
It is a classic organometallic compound with a sandwich structure. It appears as orange-yellow needle-like crystals or powder at room temperature, with a characteristic camphor-like odor. Melting point: 172–174℃; Boiling point: 249℃; It can sublime above 100℃. Insoluble in water, easily soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, diethyl ether, gasoline and diesel. Chemically stable, insensitive to air and moisture, and its thermal stability is about 400℃.
2. Main Applications
Fuel Field: Used as gasoline antiknock agent, smoke-suppressing combustion promoter for diesel, heavy oil and coal, and burning rate modifier for rocket propellants, so as to improve combustion efficiency and reduce exhaust gas and pollutant emissions.
Silicon Materials and Chemical Engineering: Used as curing agent, UV absorber and organic synthesis catalyst for rubber and resins; its derivatives are used in aerospace coatings and electronic materials.
Pharmaceutical and Scientific Research: Used as raw materials for pharmaceutical intermediates and chiral ligand synthesis.
