Basic Principles and System Composition

Basic Working Principle

The H₂S Analyzer adopts an electrochemical sensor as its core detection principle, and measures gas concentration through chemical reaction and signal conversion:

The H₂S in the measured gas diffuses into the analyzer and contacts the electrochemical sensor. Hydrogen sulfide undergoes a redox reaction inside the sensor, generating a weak current signal proportional to its concentration. After amplification and analog-to-digital conversion, the signal is processed by the control unit to calculate the hydrogen sulfide concentration. When the concentration exceeds the preset limit, the analyzer automatically triggers an audible and visual alarm to remind on-site personnel to take timely measures. The hydrogen sulfide online monitoring system mainly includes a hydrogen sulfide gas detector (electrochemical method), gas pre-processing unit (pressure reduction, gas-water separation, filtration, drying, water-flood prevention device), gas sampling unit, as well as monitoring, alarm and wireless remote transmission devices.
Sour natural gas flows through the sampling chamber after being depressurized, separated from gas and water, filtered and dried. The sensor of the gas detector detects the concentration of each gas component and outputs a signal. The signal is amplified and transmitted to the monitoring terminal host via wireless transmission equipment.
The system software records monitoring data in real time and provides early warning according to settings. The system software supports historical data query and analysis functions.

Basic Principles and System Composition

The on-line hydrogen sulfide analyzer shall be installed at the sampling points of the inlet and outlet of gas processing equipment as required. Install a tee joint on the pipeline pressure gauge valve at the sampling point. Install a pressure gauge at the upper end and connect an air guide tube at the side end. The air guide tube is a 6 mm stainless steel tube, which is connected to the air inlet of the on-line hydrogen sulfide analyzer. A 220 V power supply shall be connected to the on-line hydrogen sulfide analyzer, using a 3×1.5 armored cable. Equipment installed in the oil production station includes wireless data receiving module, terminal display equipment and other devices.
