BR, short for Butadiene Rubber, is a high-performance synthetic rubber made by polymerizing butadiene monomer. It has extremely high elasticity, excellent low-temperature resistance and outstanding wear resistance. Compared with other rubbers, BR has lower rolling resistance and better dynamic fatigue performance.
It is widely used in tire manufacturing, especially for tire treads and sidewalls to improve durability and fuel efficiency. BR is also commonly blended with natural rubber or SBR to enhance overall performance. In addition, it is used in conveyor belts, hoses, rubber shoes and other industrial rubber products.
With stable quality and good processability, BR is an important raw material in the rubber industry.

Features

Excellent elasticity, the highest among general-purpose rubbers, with outstanding low-temperature resistance.Good wear resistance and flex resistance, low heat generation, suitable for high-speed and dynamic working conditions.Excellent aging resistance and low-temperature performance, with good processing fluidity.Disadvantages: relatively low tensile strength and average tear resistance. It is often blended with natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber.Mainly used in tire treads, sidewalls, shock absorbers, hoses, conveyor belts, shoe soles and other products.

Basic Principle:Using butadiene as the monomer, high-cis polybutadiene rubber solution is produced through solution polymerization under the action of rare earth, nickel-based, cobalt-based or lithium-based catalysts. The final cis-butadiene rubber product is obtained through stripping, coagulation, water washing, dehydration and drying.

Basic Principles and System Composition

Operating Procedures

Purify butadiene and solvent to remove impurities and moisture, ensuring polymerization purity. Prepare the catalyst system, meter it accurately in proportion, and feed it into the polymerization system. Feed materials continuously into the polymerization reactor to complete polymerization under specified temperature and pressure. Send the rubber solution to the stripping and coagulation unit to precipitate rubber particles and wash them with water. Dehydrate and dry the wet rubber through extrusion and expansion drying to remove moisture and solvent. Briquette, weigh and package the dried rubber to obtain finished cis-butadiene rubber.
